Jim Mazzei is a military communications satellite expert.  As a Lt. he was selected to manage the Air Force’s 1st communications satellite earth station as part of the Initial Defense Communications Satellite Project and he’s been working in military satellites ever since.  Jim has held technical positions from project engineer to chief technical officer and management positions from earth station manager to division director and CIO.  He now supports the OSD as a member of an Air Force think tank.  He’s on the graduate school faculty of several universities as an adjunct professor.  And he lectures on military satellites for the Armed Forces Communications-Electronics Association in the United States and for allied governments.  Jim is also the Campaign Manager and Initiatives Director for State Senator Mike Mazzei.  Since Mike’s automobile accident Jim has facilitated Mike’s recovery by working as an informal chief of staff, representing Mike at meetings, coordinating legislative initiatives and doing research on legislative issues.

 

Jim and his wife Gaye live in Tulsa, and Jim works out of his office in Virginia, where he commutes several times a year.  They have two grown sons and several grandchildren.

Please note:  The Golden Corral's policy for use of their private room for meetings is that each person purchasing a meal is asked to contribute a 15% gratuity to our server. The 15% tip for each meal will be collected at the meeting.  If you wish to put the tip on your credit card along with your meal, please ask the cashier to give you the tip amount back in CASH.  (The Golden Corral management has asked us to do this so that the correct server will get the tips).
