RE:  TARA Tulsa City Council candidate forum and endorsing convention

 

DATE:  Saturday, August 27, 2011

 

LOCATION:  Memorial Bible Church, 8720 E. 61st Street, halfway between Memorial and Mingo Road.  PLEASE enter through EAST door.

 

TARA is conducting a candidate forum and endorsing convention and all registered Republican candidates for Tulsa City Council have been invited to attend.  Any registered Republican is welcome to attend this forum and stay for the question and answer period.  The forum will be followed by a “closed door” session for dues-paying TARA members to decide their endorsements. (Member dues must be current as of August 16, 2011).

 

AGENDA:

 

8:30 a.m.                ARRIVAL/CHECK IN – members & guests. Ballot distribution.

8:45 a.m.                Candidate arrival

9:00 a.m.                Candidates Speak (1 minute each).

9:30-10:30 a.m.       Audience Q & A 

10:30 a.m.              Early Voting for those attending GOP training in OKC

10:30-11:30 a.m.     Closed door session and vote by TARA dues-paid members 

11:30-12:00 noon     Officers conduct open count of the ballots – members welcome

12:00 noon              Adjourn

A candidate questionnaire was e-mailed to all Republican Tulsa City Council candidates by OK-SAFE, Inc. (Oklahomans for Sovereignty and Free Enterprise). Meeting Schedule


Tulsa Area Republican Assembly is the local affiliate of Oklahoma Republican Assembly (OKRA)

and National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA).

 

Tulsa Area Republican Assembly meets

Third Tuesday of each month

6:00 - 7:00 p.m. for dinner

7:00 - 8:00 p.m. for speaker

Price for each adult meal is $10.49

Price for each Senior meal is $9.89

(sales tax will be added)

 

Please note:  The Golden Corral's policy for use of their private room for meetings is that each person purchasing a meal is asked to contribute a 15% gratuity to our server. The 15% tip for each meal will be collected at the meeting.  If you wish to put the tip on your credit card along with your meal, please ask the cashier to give you the tip amount back in CASH.  (The Golden Corral management has asked us to do this so that the correct server will get the tips).
