2010 TARA Endorsements

The Tulsa Area Republican Assembly voted to make these endorsements:

Tulsa County Assessor                                   Ken Yazel        ~Won primary, advances to general election.                                     

Tulsa County Treasurer                            no endorsement

Tulsa County Commissioner Dist. 1           no endorsement

Tulsa County Commissioner Dist. 3           no endorsement

State Senate Dist. 10      no endorsement 

State Senate Dist. 34      no endorsement

State House Dist. 66        no endorsement

StateHouse Dist. 68        no endorsement

StateHouse Dist. 74        no endorsement

StateHouse Dist. 76        David Brumbaugh  ~Won primary.  No Democrat opponent.  

Will be sworn in to Oklahoma House of Representatives in November

 

 In order to receive an endorsement, the candidate must receive a two-thirds supermajority of the members’votes cast at the meeting.  This endorsement is also binding on our umbrella organizations, the Oklahoma Republican Assembly(OKRA) and the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA). 

Since TARA is the local affiliate of OKRA and NFRA, we are NOT allowed to make endorsements in statewide or federal races.  We did, however, allow our members to vote in a straw poll for these offices.  The results are:

You will notice that the straw poll votes don’t always addup to 100%.  That is due to undervotes incertain races.  If a candidate is not listed, that means that candidate received zero votes.
