Meeting April 19: Speaker Dr. John Swails

Topic:  Update on the situation in Israel and the Middle East

Dr. John Swails is Director of the Center for Israel and Middle East Studies at Oral Roberts University.  He has taught classes on 20th Century Middle East, Radical Islam, Modern Israel, World War I, II and the Holocaust, Church History, Historical Geography of Bible Lands, and Biblical Hebrew.  He has travelled to Israel numerous times.  Dr. Swails was appointed in 2007 to the U.S. Advisory Board of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem. He is the author of several published articles.  Dr. Swails earned an A. B. in History, an M. A. in History and a Ph.D. in History from the University of Georgia as well as an M. A. in Near East Studies at Brandeis University.
