Topic: Now that We’re in this Mess, How Do We Get Out?
Terry Simonson has earned 2 B. A. degrees, one in political science and one in social work from Bethany College near Wichita, Kansas. Terry received his law degree from TU College of Law. He served in the administration of former Mayor Jim Inhofe (1978-1984), worked for the American Bar Association in Washington, D.C. (1984-1986), served as Chief of Staff to former Mayor Richard Crawford (1986-1988). In 1988, he established the private law firm of Vestal and Simonson, where he practiced law until 2007. He served as Chief Deputy, Public Information Officer and Director of Governmental Affairs for Tulsa County (2007-2009) and in 2009 became Chief of Staff and General Counsel to Mayor Dewey Bartlett. Simonson has also served as Chairman of the Tulsa County Republican Party (1991-1997), was the Republican nominee for Mayor of Tulsa in 1998 and is past president of the Tulsa County Republican Men’s Club. He is married and has 2 grown sons.
